“I went to this, God was it only a quid?..I remember he wore suede boots with tassles on which I suppose was cool then. Bridge of Sighs was a great track. He sounded very much like Jimi Hendrix without the flamboyance and Curtis Mayfield influence.This gig persuaded me to get a Stratocaster once I could afford it.”

“If I remember correctly,Trower played 2 nights Fri/Sat,support band was John Miles,Miles got a hostile reception as he was regarded as 'chart/teenybopper' status,however by the end of his set, Miles had earned 2 encores with his guitar prowess, no match for Trower though.”
