Ticket
The Waltones
The Boardwalk
3rd July 1986

Ticket number 1. These cardboard tickets were so much classier than the later ones just ripped off a pad with the name scribbled on and often abreviated. The Chesterfields were from somewhere like Somerset - they were good as well. I liked the sloping bit they had in the Boardwalk in the early days as I could see the Bands

“Went to that one, The Tier Garden were my local home town band, they ran a bus and I got the Guitar in Your Bath EP signed by The Chesterfields. First time they'd done autographs. The Waltones were really good too, effortlessly cool with a bit of swagger by then. Shame it came to not a lot.”
