“nice add for Out Of The Blue Studios-which were on blossom St in Ancoats. there was a studio in late 70s early 80s called Relentless run by tony Roberts on this spot then taken over by Nick and Adam as Out Of The Blue.Biting Tongues recorded here a lot and also rehersed there. Other Bands included Yargo,Easterhouse and 808 State recorded a few thing s there. Amex had a soldering room in the building making Mixing desks,When Out of The Blue stopped ,it became a number of small studios ,Zombie (run by Phil Kirby -where Mr Scruff recorded a lot of his stuff and again 808 State,) Sub Sub had a studio which burnt down ,Sure Is Pure had a studio (Danny nd Kelvin Andrews) Tony Martin had a studio.(Hypnotone and TOT).”
“Out of the Blue was a great little studio we rehearsed there from about 82-84 and recorded a couple of times with Adam who was a really nice chap- My memories of it are of a studio clouded in smoke from dubious plants with a small tv room that had videos like Erazerhead playing on a loop.
Whilst we were there an incarnation of the fall rehersed there, 80s popster Carmel plus loads of others, steve diggles flag of convienience rehearsed round the corner. We would go in the Edinburgh castle in between rehersals. Couple of pints of wilsons made the sound a lot better. even if it was not.”
