“looking at the Electric Circus logo,I could never figure out if the singer was male or female. I still can't. I was definitely at the Motorhead night because after the sound-check,Lemmy chased me around the room.Scary, and not something you ever forget. I would of been there seeing the Heavy Metal Kids and YES! Alvin Lee was a very big surprise! My brother did cartwheels around the dance floor as he was his Hero.As you walked in to pay, there was blackboard that said 'Tonight,Alvin Lee'. We couldn't believe it.”

“I think my brother was at that one too.

I was once at a ceildh in a tent at Ulverston in the early 1980's, when Jimmy Page and Roy Harper turned up and asked if they could play. Were they on a caravaning holiday in the area?”

“Talking of Lemmy, there was once a gig at Rochdale AFC with both Motorhead and Liquid Gold on the bill ( I remember only that LG had a drummer in satin shorts ) the audience cross section must have been interesting that day.”

“I used to go to the Circus every Sunday in 1977 and saw all the bands. Slits Clash Jam Slaughter and the Dogs Buzzcocks Damned Stranglers and so many more. I was there when Granada TV's Brass Tacks were filming for a show an the Punk Phenomenon. A bunch of old outraged councilmen bemoaning the ruination of the nation's youth. The Vibrators were playing that night. A couple of years ago I found a vhs copy of the show with footage of me all punked out with my safety pins and chains. I'll put it up on Youtube and put the link on here. I gotta get it digitized first”
