cassette cover from MOONRAKER STUDIOS,in Longsight on the A6. established by Mike Harding as an 8 track?
its afordabilty meant it was used alot in the 80s .
Biting Tongues recorded an endless single in 1984 at about 6 diffferent studios .including Drone ,One at the side of the Odean cinema in a basement?
Spirit ,Out of the Blue , John Hursts and finaly Moonraker.
it was never released (dead Horse flogged)
Moonraker must have skipped some tapes at some point in the 90s as I was given a 1 inch multitrack reel to reel of A Guy Callled Gerald (who recorded Voodoo Ray in Moonraker in 88) in a moonraker box by Les at King Bee who had aquired it in a batch of House clearence..It now has been returned to Mr Simpson,never knew what was on it.
MC tunes once lived in the live room at Moonraker with some black bin bags and his dog for a few months (it was not technicaly a residential studio) The owner was Colin (?)
Once MC Tunes found suitable acomadation and the owner died ,
Andy Drelincourt took over and it became Testa Rossa Studios.
