I saw GG play the poly at Cavendish house around this time I cannot remember the support act but GG really camped it up for all it was worth he even walked down a fake staircase throwing out roses,I f my memory serves me correctly (which it usually doesn't these days). He had a full platform out fit with massive wide shoulders similar to the one he wore in an advert of the time where he couldn't get in a lift door as his shoulders were too wide.
I am suprised that he played the Russell club around the same time. Perhaps the poly gig was 1981?”
