I think this was Sub Sub's first-ever gig. We invited them to play at Freedom after hearing the white label of Spaceface. The vinyl had Andy Williams home telephone number scrawled on it in pencil and he was made up when I rang him. It was a really good night and they played brilliantly. But I seem to remember one of them playing the bongos slightly out of time.
