“i went to this - loved it! WOT were a great live band - did they have the spinning wheel at this gig (or was that intastella?).”

“yeah, it was twist's wheel and I'm sure it was there that night along with cardboard heads of the band spinning round and
projections of 60's gigarette ads etc

unbeatable!”

“Did Tony come on stage wrapped in silver foil, or was that at the ritz ?”

“that was the ritz, the ticket for that night's on the site if you
search under World of Twist”

“Great band remember seeing them at isadoras ? (now the triangle shopping bollax) I think it was quite a big gig for them ,they came on started the intro for their first song then Tony Ogden stopped them ,they went off stage and then started again to do a blindin gig.I am sure this happened ,can anyone out there back this up ? or did I dream it ?”

“World of Twist were ace , best gig they did though was well before this in 89 at the Hacienda (about 25 people there I think!!). The Spinning Wheel and stage show were designed by Ian Rainford who went on to be in Mum and Dad. Angie Reilly also did a lot of the visuals.”

“I had my car nicked while I was at this gig. A truly underrated Manchester band.”
