what a night!
a legendary line up of Djs, a great turn out from Street Machine and Broken Glass, a sold-out crowd who were there simply because they wanted to learn, dance and have a good time...
the first 5 hours of the day were compared by greg wilson and were highly successful discussions with the Djs, talking about Pre-Rave (1982 - 88) Manchester and the (predominantly black) club scene, which moved underground when rave struck.
After the talks Tim Bones Forde introduced his film "Pioneers - The Birth of the British B-Boy' which went down a storm to a packed out cinema room.
Then the night climaxed with superb sets from the Djs. Chad Jackson kicking things off with a great set of Old School Hip Hop and Electro tracks which got the B-Boys doing their thing. Amazing to see men in their forties still being capable of spinning on their heads etc.
it really was amazing!!!!

Street Machine back together for the first time in twenty odd years, Tim Bones Forde from Broken Glass, the crowd enjoy watching the breakdancing, 'Nooney' Street machine, Chad Jackson on the decks).
ps. if anyone's wondering why the Take That link, Jason Orange was a member of Street Machine and was -and still is - a very good dancer! (Jason is far right, back row on the top photo).
