bought in the Underground Market record shop (forgotten it's name).
I think I saw them play the mayflower but I am not 100% sure

They had the record sleeves displayed on the wall with the warning; "nick our record covers and we will nick you." They also had a branch in Sale - where I worked at the time - for a while. “Mitch remembers it being called "Discount Records" I am pretty sure he is right. "Muppet" lead singer of Armed Force used to work in there. There is a picture of him I took when we were in a band "Yukio Tani" he is crouching down. The shop was exactly as you described and was a regular meet up place for many of the punks who hung around in town circa 1978/79”
