“Ah, Vibes Records, from the early days - don't live in Bury any longer, but we didn't need any other record shops back then - I wonder if Tony and Paul are still in charge and willing to order any record that exists?
Tony was originally the manager of the record department of Openshaw's, if I remember correctly.”
“Sadly Tony passed away some years ago but Vibes somehow manages to just about keep going. Paul Cox is still very much 'the Man' and (though he deals mostly with the mail order side) will indeed order any record that exists.
Vocalist Graham 'Raggy' Holden also died (in a RTA in South Africa) though Roy Tynan is still alive and well and living in Hebden Bridge or thereabouts. Never really knew the other members anyway so 'fate unknown' there.”
“John Mather from the band appeared, unfortunately, on Channel 4 documentary series '24 Hours in A&E'(10/7/2013).He is living in a homeless hostel in South London, and struggling with alcohol addiction. He had cut his head open in a fall. He mentioned being from Bury in the interview, and visiting the Electric Circus, this being an eye opener for him as far as music was concerned. He also mentioned this single, and it being played a couple of times on John Peel's show.”
