Carriage Return is a postal exchange of typewriter drawings between Hilary Judd and Lucy May Schofield. They had been corresponding, solely by typewritten means, since 2018 between Manchester and the remote Northumbrian countryside. The project celebrated the limitations of the typewriters mechanisms; a love of the noisy click/clack, the miss hits and mistakes.
