“This was really a turning point in New Order's career. I remember them being on the cover of the NME around this time, a story about them visiting the Paradise Garage (with Steve wearing those funny horn-rim glasses with the bloodshot eyeballs that sproing out on a Slinky-like spring) and being enthralled with the place. Of course that inspired them to hook up with Arthur Baker to record "Confusion" and the rest is, as they say, history.”
