Sun Ra is nt from Manchester (He's from Saturn).
We were honored to have him come to the RNCM,
I think it was 83..was anyone else there ? it was a good turn out and mind blowing gig for me.I know a lot of people in Mcr had sun ra albums when Virgin and Marshalls sold of Impulse
back catalogue with the corners cut off for 1.50 ..It was like a convention of those people that night.

“...looking forward to the gig next week....the arkestra (complete with sun ra and john gilmore) played the bluecoat in liverpool and the wigan jazz festival in 1990 - there's a film exists of the bluecoat gig.”
