Ticket
The Apollo
28th June 2008

Ticket and complimentary earplugs (handed out on entry) for the reformed My Bloody Valentine show at the Apollo on Saturday 28/06/08 with Spectrum in support.

I had to go, having seen them several times first time round, out of curiosity more than anything else. It was a truly fantastic show - more of a textural experience than a musical/aural one - and so LOUD that I thought the balcony was going to collapse!

“...and how annoying that the Sunday show had to clash with Radiohead, I had to sell my ticket. You wait 16 years to see them again (twice of course) and then Radiohead come along!”

“How funny that we both felt the need to photograph/archive the earplugs :-)

I'm not sure that I've ever been to a gig where two-thirds of the pit security actually had their fingers in their ears either...

“Looking forward to seeing them at Electric Picnic in Ireland at the end of August. Great line up: MBV, Sex Pistols Sigur Ros, Elbow, Grinderman, Goldfrapp, Franz Ferdinand, George Clinton, Michael Franti....
