This song (Sophisticated Lady) was recorded in Phonogram Studio London on 11th September 1980 during Fast Cars demo session for Polydor Records. Unfortunately no contract was forthcoming so the tape was archived until 2020.
The band were unaware of the songs existence (forgotten over the years).
Have a listen to the jangly guitars long before they became popular in Manchester music years later.
The song is available with the rest of the session entitled 'Once again I'm lost for words' released on Detour Records in April 2021.
