“Hi I’m Chris Flynn. I was the drummer with SFW who were just four kids from Wythenshawe who could play. I remember this festival well. And yes – that is Peter Gallagher in the Kaftan. When we were in SFW we created our own pseudo personalities complete with names. His was Crypto Ava (as in Gardner – he’d say) Smed. Christ knows where he got that from. Cheers Chris”

“SFW were a great high energy band and I always loved watching them. Sean was a lovely bloke and Marc nuts but a charming guy. They were pretty hot around the Oldham area at the time... I was with a band called The Losers at the time (very appropriate on reflection). We were a very blues orientated band but SF were always supportive and I liked them very much. Haven't seen Saun for a quarter of a century or so,,,, the last time I was with him he was talking about going into acting, drama school or something. It was nice to see his face on this page and I hope he and all SFW are keeping well. Remember 'Information Please' Sean hated it but it was a crowd pleaser.”
