Ticket
The Apollo
29th June 2007

Lou Reed at the Apollo... this is actually the third or fourth time i've seen Lou Reed in Mcr. Although all the previous gigs i saw were generally pretty poor (the previous Apollo gig i went to in particular where he did a shock and awe heavy rock version of pale blue eyes... cheers) i had no reservations about buying this ticket - even at the over inflated price. (It seems all Mcr International Festival tickets seem to have £20 extra added on).

Anyway, i heard he was doing Berlin live - true to the album version and with some of the original musicians.

It didn't disappoint - it was magnificent. not sold out, (almost certainly due to the ticket price) but bloody brilliant.

After the Berlin bit he came on and did his obligatory 'best of' bit... walk on the wildside, satellite of love etc which was, i'm happy to say not too silly.
