The concert was at Manchester University (3/3/82 - according to the Internet)
I didn't know much about the great man before seeing him, what a great performer, so cool with his square guitar!
One outstanding memory is that after his encore, the audience would not stop applauding and asking for another encore. After the longest time I can remember for any artist, he came out again to rapturous applause.
