"Dawn Before Dark " was the first song on the studio release Winter Flight by Inside Edge.
The songs were well received and gained a lot of radio airplay on KFM radio as well as press coverage. Penny Anderson writing in City Life wrote:
"Instantly likeable with its choppy guitar, a definite identity and sense of purpose. Dawn Before Dark is commercial and hits you immediately"
The songs were recorded at The Shed Studios in Stockport, Manchester England. The vocalist on the studio recording was Carol-Anne. The video was taken at a live gig on Saturday 6th April 1991 with Phil as vocalist.
Inside Edge were a Manchester based indie-rock band from 1986 to 1991 who wrote their own original songs. Their first single, Elegy, was released on vinyl in 1987.
