August 28th 1977; Big punk night at the Electric Circus, 999, The Adverts, played and the Distractions were in the crowd. They spent some time with the Bombsite writers. There is a full review and clearer image at the Bombsite blogspot below -

“There's a reason why this gig was so packed! The bill was The Adverts, 999 and The Slugs.
The Pistols could not openly play anywhere by now, so they did some gigs under the name The SPOTS (Sex Pistols On Tour Secretly). A coachload of Manchester punks went to one of these gigs at the Wolverhampton Lafayette club (19/08/77). A rumour now went round that the Slugs were in fact the Pistols - hence the huge queues in the article!”
