Manchester band “The Cheaters”… because of them I left college to go on the road with them as their sound engineer and tour manager.. Newly signed to EMI, we constantly toured the U.K. in our van, with our own PA and a great following! We paid each other £100/week from gig money and stayed in B&Bs/the van which had 2 bunks in it… self-sufficient!
