This was the night before my 30th birthday and Joe Pernice was an absolute songwriting hero of mine. I got to open the show and we went for a curry in Rusholme after to celebrate my birthday. The day after we drove to York to play at Fibbers with me and Pernice duetting to Elvis Costello in the car. Best birthday ever.
