As local Promoters Cosmic American we put on American singer Josh Rouse at the Southern Hotel in Chorlton. He was a complete diva, a real nightmare. Very unhappy with the venue and sound, felt it was unprofessional and beneath him. Refused to be in the venue and spent the hours preceding the gig in his car. But once lights came up, he put on a great show once the lights went up. I think I (Matt Hill) did the opening support band slot.

About 3-4 years later he played again at Matt & Phreds and I went to see him. I reminded him of our gig and he claimed to have never met me before and swore blind he had never ever played in Manchester before. Clearly we made an impression on poor Joshy. He went on to become a huge star. Ended up playing the Academy and RNCM.
