A strange night, this. Me and my gig companion for the night, Irish James, got totalled on the alcoholic ginger beer they sold down the road at the Firkin. He spent nearly the entire gig making acquaintance with a toilet cubicle. Ultra Vivid Scene were a no-show - I think they'd split up - so were (dubiously) treated to The Cranberries
