Fanzine
Fast Breeder, Slaughter and the Dogs
22nd August 1977

The commentary is from Bombsite #2 page 6. It discusses a meeting that occurred between Slaughter+TD's, Fast Breeder and Bombsite writers who were at the Grapes [popular pub hangout next door to Eric's] Fast Breeder manager Alan Erasmus walks into the bar looking for Terry Lean the guitarist for Fast Breeder. Alan Erasmus turned Fast Breeder into the Durratti Column, and at about the same time started a long friendship and partnership with Tony Wilson. Tony Wilson, Alan Erasmus and Rob Gretton formed Factory Records as a collective enterprise. Then followed the opening of the Hacienda nightclub and a continuous search for talent. All the characters played a role in the cult 24 hour Party People movie, and understand that they are portrait in the new Control movie that has just been released in the UK. This group of businessmen were punks, and would change the face and the direction of UK music.
