Cosmic American Music Club was co-run by Matt Hill, aka the excellent (then Manchester-based) Quiet Loner.

They hosted an endless stream of very talented American bands and singer-songwriters who, to date, have sadly failed to break through.

If only bands/artists like that could tap into a UK audience for Springsteen, REM, Ryan Adams, Teenage Fan Club, Billy Bragg, Elvis Costello etc

Tandy played in town a few times including at the BOTW. I'm not sure they knew they shared a name with the UK discount electronic retailer of "Realistic" fame.
