“I remember when joining Pips getting a choice of free single, I chose a Bowie one, DJ I think.”

“It was...nearly all the girls dressed kinda blokey, suits etc and the guys dressed like women!...my mates were sid who dressed in top hat and tails and Andy who always wore a wedding dress!”

“Loved Pips niteclub in the Roxy /Bowie room late 70's . does anyone remember the Manhattan bar at Rotters in Stockport ,great nites dancing to Roxy Bowie Japan Numan etc made some great friends there , all going to see Roxy and Japan at the Apollo.”

“I remember Rotters, Dungeons and Olivers in Stockport and just outside was there was a much larger club but I cant remember the name?
The ' pubs' to be seen in Manchester were The Townhall Tavern and in Stockport The upside downstairs.”

“One thing I loved about Pips was the fact you could get chips and a burger while in there, either between the commercial and roxy room or near the sixies room. I loved the fact that you could go to another room if bored with the music. Anyone remember a TISWAS night that was held there, I remember getting pelted with fish, loads of fun!”
