Griff writes to Ida while she is away, "My darling and most precious, I am missing you already and hope you are comfortable at the Carlton."
He's "had three minor accidents today, so I suppose I am now exempt for a bit" - he's knocked over a cup of tea, dropped toast in a bowl of water and then had a humble with a cracked egg.
He's reviewed the Old Students Association cash book and it looks good. He's still bringing work home as he's very bust but hopes to see the Manchester Palace Gala on the telly.
