Ida is away and Griff updates her on his day.
"Your Father wasn't very bright on Friday night but he cheered up after beating Harry, his only chess win of this week. I think, hence part of the depression, no doubt."
Mildrid Esplin (Mrs Moon) has died and Griff directs her to Mr Stephenson (a relative?) in London.
He's having the lino delivered for his house - looks like most of the house is getting a lino floor.
