Artefact
Griff writes to Ida thanking her for the letter while she is in Dumfries. He hopes the weather stays dry for her.
He promises that "there is nothing hectic at 91, darling" while the decorators are in during the summer. "The gentlemen drift about quietly and I see very little of them," except for the chap who fetches their tea.
Her father Walter "was again in excellent form this evening" with a long game (of chess) played against Griff.
