I thought KoD were great. One Little Indian label mates with the Sugarcubes.

Did lead singer Patrick Fitzgerald (not that one!) live in Mcr for a while?

A big influence on The Editors I'd say.

“The 3rd Time We Opened The Capsule.. top track! Thought KOD were a great band too.
I think Patrick Fitzgerald put a few solo albums out under the guise of Stephenhero?”

“Patrick grew up in the Manchester area going to school in Fallowfield (Primary) and Rusholme (Secondary) before heading to London for Uni and life as singer/bassplayer with Kitchens of Distinction. He went solo in 1996, first as Fruit and then as stephenhero, and has lived back in Manchester since 2002. I should know, I live with him!

Musically he's based at Islington Mill now and there's a piece due in this Friday's MEN/CityLife as a preview for next week's Roadhouse show. Interpol, Bloc Party, Editors certainly all display the influence of KOD who's main influence themselves was (getting back to the NW/mdmarchive) Joy Division :-)”
