Griff apologises to Ida, "writing with a contrite heart - for your cold chiefly" which he likely gave her. He believes "she ought to avoid the night air until it's quite gone" so he will drop the train tickets at the Matthay School of Music for her. He reckons he'd be a good hot water bottle for her bed on cold nights.
