Saw the Skids at the Factory & got the autographs of 3 band members. I believe that there is also a Manchester connection as Stuart Adamson of the band was born here in 1958

See my later Skids autographs and various tales under the Apollo venue. Interesting to plot on here how quickly bands went from the Circus/Factory to the Apollo as the new wave broke out of the arty/studenty crowds, into the charts and onto the estates. Sometimes the cracks showed - I remember young bands playing their hit single 2 and 3 times at the Apollo.

“I was at this show, fantastic night. I'm now in Scotland, just the other side of the Forth from Dunfermline. How mad did it get when they did TV Stars, spose it was the Corrie connection.
