Record / CD / Tape
Russell Club
1979

This is my green vinyl copy in see through sleeve of Jimmy Jimmy by the Undertones but the manchester link is on the rear of the record as it has a gig listing for their tour in May 1979 and they came to the Factory at the Russell Club.

“They were back in town as quickly as 10th June - suprisingly playing the Factory again as, with this as a hit single, the rest of the tour was your Leicester De Montford and your Blackburn St George's size venues.. They then played the Free Trade Hall on 29/4/80.”

“Have some great pictures of some of the Undertones but they are in dressing room at Erics so no Manchester connection which is a shame. Did know them as friends for a short while. Damien and John had a cousin called Eugene who lived in Manchester as he went to University here always wondered if he was the Perfect Cousin?”
