This was a great gig. NYC-based 3-piece Secret Machines touring their first album, Now Here is Nowhere.

I've been to hundreds of gigs but I've never seen how these guys set their kit up. The stage is tiny in N&D to start with and the excellent drums are a huge part of the band's sound. All 3 band members were crowded to the front/middle of the stage. The drum kit was sideways on, slightly stage right. Opposite that, also sideways about 2 feet away was the keyboards. 3 feet behind them in the space between was the guitarist/singer. Lots of dry ice. Big noise. Very memorable.
