“Put me down for a copy! may be you need to bake the tapes?
(dont do it yourself) ..Infact the archive should help us bake our tapes .! (one day) . Great Photo !
My parents used to make me keep my Afgan coat in the coalshed due to the smell of goats (especialy when it got wet) ,made 10 x worse by smearing with patchuli Oil ,(two wrongs dont make a right) ,To which i would make some Kevin and Perry like protest ,storm upstairs and play my wah wah electric Violin to Mahavishnu records. nightmare!”

“I have heard about tape baking before. These should be deep fried in patchouli oil. At the moment I record about 20 minutes and then scrub the oxide dust from the tape heads with alcohol soaked cotton buds and continue the process but since an Iron Lung tune can easily go on for 1/2 an hour its not ideal and lots have to be faded out before it sounds like someone has put a blanket over the mics.”

“Landmark already had the AKS when I took this photo. We'd gone to London on the train to purchase the keyboard that went with the AKS, he couldn't afford to buy them together! We both thought a visit to EMS would be like entering an 'Aladdins cave' of electronic musical wizardry!
35 years later all I can remember is a dingy small shop with cardboard boxes stacked everywhere. We were in and out in two minutes flat and feeling a bit let down. The only other part of the day I recall is taking some more pics of Landmark and the box in Kensington Gardens. Time and alcohol has erased the rest.”
