Artefact

Poster
The Smiths
1984

This is the poster used to promote 'What Difference Does It Make' in record shops at the time.

This shows the original image of Terence Stamp holding a chloroform pad from the 1965 film 'The Collector', later replaced by a similar image of Morrissey holding a glass of milk. This change came about because Stamp objected to the original image being used. He later changed his mind and it was reused.
