False Prophets guitarist at this time was Steven Taylor. (Sadly just off the edge of these great photos). Taylor was born in Gorton, Manchester, then his family moved to the States when he was 10.
He got a chance to play guitar, backing the poet Allen Ginsberg and continued to tour with him as musical advisor for many years.
He also has been a member of The Fugs since they reformed in 1985.
The photo of False Prophets on Andrew Bayles excellent webpage is labeled as The Boardwalk. But Steven Taylor confirmed with me that it was actually The Swinging Sporran. Andrew thinks he mis-remembered the Venue when he labelled the photos.
