The Apollo

A rare night-time trip to Manchester from t'other side of the Pennines, possibly using my parents' Citroen 2CV. All I remember about this gig was that it was a) relatively short but b) fantastic. One of the tightest bands/sets I'd seen and Larry Blackmon had charisma to burn. I'd completely forgotten that support came from short-lived Cameo-associates Ca$hflow. A fitting swan-song for 80's soul/funk/boogie before House took over the world (or at least the North of England).
