From hazy memory - Blues Rock heavies Steamhammer were the support band.

Post concert treat - Stacia Blake & Miss Renee danced by the left side of the stage to The Moody Blues 'Nights In White Satin' for 20 fans in the know who had stayed behind.

On 11th May 1973, Hawkwind released their famous Space Ritual double album recorded while on tour in Liverpool and London.

But sadly, not recorded in Manchester!

So, I never imagined I would ever be able to re-live Hawkwind's Manchester Hardrock concert again. Roll on 50 years later.. I heard Tony Flynn's mono recording!

Hawkwind's Live Space Ritual show. Recorded LIVE by myself 26/11/72, at The Hardrock venue, Manchester. Recorded on a mono cassette recorder. The sound quality is poor, as the recorder couldn't handle the loud sound from the stage. It is distorted, but it is a great document of their amazing show back then. Tony Flynn, Manchester

And as remembered, Hawkwind omitted Silver Machine from their set that night!
