Aqua - July 1977. Photo taken for the Levenshulme Reporter (free newspaper) regarding Aqua's one day tour of street partys for the Queens Silver Jubilee.
There were 3 in total starting at 11am in Burnage Congregational Hall, 3pm at a street party near Audley Rd in Levenshulme and 5 pm at a street party in Didsbury. This was our 1st gig for a lot of us, and whilst eating your triangle buttys with Tizer and jelly you would be treated to Prog Rock cover versions (Gong and Hawkwind) a couple of rock classics (crowd pleasers like 'All Right Now') and a very trendy 'God Save The Queen' (Sex Pistols version!), and 'Peaches' by The Stranglers.
We were just deciding who we were.
