Metro News article about Stuart Harrison ,sometime guitarist with the Zans (date might be wrong). I dont think it all turned out to be as rosy as it says here. Stuart left the Gordon Smith guitar pictured here leaning against a radiator in the storeroom of the Manchester Arms for weeks causing its neck to look like Robin Hoods Bow. The Creators had Simon White (Ex- Johnnies Airforce guitarist) playing bass for a while in the early days. I think they finally fizzled out a couple of years ago.

“In the late 70's a brilliant three piece named Shy Tots played around the Tameside area and the guitarist used Gordon Smith guitars.Rumour had it that the guitarist was none other than Gordon Smith himself !!,this seemed quite credible as he was a damn fine musician and the company was in Manchester.
No one knew that there was no such person, the name comes from the two original partners, one called Gordon and the other one called Smith.
Does anyone remember Shy Tots ?.”
“I remember the Shy Teds (geddit?) Same joke, different band. I think there was a Shy Talk also.”

“creators released a single in john robbs label Thrill City. Stuart then went on to form Reservoir Jones. Sadly the above trip to canada proved harsh in the long run as Stephen Leckie from Viletones released one of Stuarts songs under his own name”

“I remember seeing the Shy Tots in the Commercial Stalybridge - the guitarist was John Robbie/Robinson. He was an excellent Hendrix copyist and all round great rock guitarist. I had a Gordon Smith GS1 for years an early model, sadly sold when poor, as often happened.”
