In the centre of this shot you can see DJ Claud Cunningham cutting some rug at Paradise Factory. Claud started alt-queer club Black Angel in 1999 with the aim of providing a safe hangout for black, Asian and minority ethnic women in Manchester.

This image featured in the MDMA exhibition 'Queer Noise' at People's History Museum in 2017.
