Big Block 454, Those Who Celebrate
Viewpoint Gallery
19th March 1992

"Rubber Soul" was an event put on on 19th March 1992 at the Viewpoint Gallery, in the Old Fire Station on The Crescent, Salford - just opposite Salford University's Maxwell Hall. Big Block 454 (Pete Scullion on guitar and Colin Robinson on synths and Atari ST running Creator) provided backing music for a fashion show (featuring clothes made from rubber and wood - people wearing tree parts, basically) and then performed with improv band "Those Who Celebrate" and the Gestures dancers. A wonderful evening, actually.

“At this venue, Big Block 454 met up with film maker Les Howarth - eventually making two albums of music for his films. He also filmed the band performing at the Salford Centric multi-media event at St.Philip's Church on Chapel Street, Salford in 2002.”
“"Those Who Celebrate" were also known as the "Ish Improvisers", I think.”
