Letter
Ida Carroll, Geoffrey Griffiths
1942

Geoffrey Griffiths celebrates having steak "of quite pre-war quality" so much so that "tooth cleaning was postpones for a long tome to savour the taste as long as possible."
Ida Carroll has offered to take her (Air Raid Warden?) patrols to his "beat" but he worries that it would take her through an area that is a popular target for "the Nasti bombers". He might be able to visit her beat, though.
He describes the other men on his (Auxiliary Fire Service?) rota - a sports fitter who almost bested the Times crossword, a jeweller and a fruiterer, and the room they occupy while on duty.
