This is a Robot gig circa 2000 at Night and Day.

Note: the hats were necessary for the song Martian Eskimo we were pre-empting the woolly hats in rock movement.

Also note the D.I.Y. lettering blue-tacked to the monitors at the front of the stage.

This was around the time when there was a pretty good community of bands playing in the lo-fi (or was it No-fi) style. Bands like Valerie, B Fab UK, Black Curtain, Donut Robot, Road Star, Kling Klang etc all organising our own events and trying to create a scene.

It was fun.
