“Victor Brox at the Lancashire Vaults..........what a hell hole that place was,I bet he wished he'd stayed at home that night !!.”
“I couldn't agree more with Arnie - I played the Lancashire Vaults with JSRSRB - brilliant crowd but a riot broke as 'Perry's' (I think - forgive me if not) entered on a 'revenge' attack. The place was completely trashed - ambulances, police, several serious injuries and many arrests (of the wrong people - loyal punters who were clearing up the mess - Colin, our singer, appeared as a defence witness but had little impact on the outcome of the trial) One of the few times JSRSRB made the newspapers!”
“Similar story. I was in the Cyprus Tavern once about 83 when a Chelsea crew chased a City crew in. The old greek lady on the front desk got glassed. City were on the run and ran down to the club and down again into the toilets. Chelsea swarmed in and were chucking glasses about, smashed all the optics and piled in to the loos. The lights went up and the police with dogs came into the club. The Chelsea boys grabbed glasses and stood there like innocent drinkers. The police arrested everyone who was bleeding - some carried unconscious out of the toilets. Not good.”
