Hilda Hester Collens (1883-1956, founder and principal of the Northern School of Music) wrote to the father of Hubert Harry (1927-2010. Pianist, student of the Northern School of Music) . Harry was a solo performer by age 9 and a student at the Northern School of Music.
"My ambition for him is that he shall become a world-famous solo pianist."
