Here are some documents from The Girly Show, the third in a series of gigs I did with Jay Taylor, where we chose an artist or genre then asked several local acts to cover one song from said artist or scene
This one was for Madonna and included contributions from Tom Hingley, Stella Grundy, Goldblade, Mark Hoyle under his Ninebar guise, Hooker featuring Zoe McVeigh now of Liines, Ark featuring Steve Hanley of the Fall and Pete Keogh of The Creepers and last but not least MDMA's very own Abigail Ward in her band Monro Stahr ......oh and Superstring dj'd as well
The Manchester Evening News did a preview piece which is here and following dressing up as Dave Hill from Slade at the previous Glam Slam event, I dressed up as a very bad Madonna ..........
